Limited Edition Valentines Collection now available for preorder!
Glaslough Chocolate was established in 2013 by chocolatier Trish Murphy-Thom in the beautiful historic village of Glaslough.
“After moving back to my native village of Glaslough I decided to create my own job making artisan chocolates by hand - first in my kitchen, then in our tiny shop right in the centre of the village.
As we now have delicious, freshly brewed artisan coffee, tea and (of course!) hot chocolate on offer in the shop as well, our chocolate production has moved into a small workshop in Glaslough.
Methods have not changed, though - from fillings to decoration and packaging, everything is very much handmade."
Thanks to our small batch size and making our own fillings, we have full control over all our ingredients and can avoid preservatives. We only use fine Belgian chocolate and a few selected, natural ingredients, locally sourced where possible.
We are proud to be able to say that our chocolate (and fudge!) has won numerous awards throughout the years - though the best compliment is still the brilliant feedback from our customers.
A tiny bite of heaven, handmade in Ireland - from bespoke hampers, wedding favours and corporate gifts, handmade chocolate speaks for itself!
More soon to follow! (In short: Our chocolate is not only delicious, but also 100% sustainable.)
We only use the finest Belgian chocolate, local honey from less than a mile away, fresh Monaghan cream and butter and source all other ingredients from the highest quality producers in our area. Our chocolate fillings and fudge are all made by hand using basic, fresh ingredients - and you can taste the difference!
Our aim is to keep our recipes simple and free from artificial flavour enhancers and preservatives.
Most of our packaging can be recycled and we hope to transition to fully compostable/recyclable packaging (with the exception of some ribbons and boxes, which are made as pretty as possible to be reused anyway!) and as close to 100% as possible recycled waste within the next 2 years.

Please be advised that we work with dairy, nuts, gluten (wheat in our hazelnut praline filling) and that all our chocolate contains soy lecithin - traces of these allergens may be found in all our products.
All of our products are handmade in our small workshop in Glaslough, Co. Monaghan.
